Progressive Management of NY is one of the leading managers of affordable residential properties in the metro New York area. We specialize in tax credit and HUD-financed multi-family residential housing.

Recognized for our hands-on management style, we’re dedicated to ensuring the long-term viability and value of the assets we oversee. Our success is the result of our belief that our residents come first, and the smallest day-to-day details deserve as much attention as the big picture. Our approach begins with construction punch list management, lease-up and the ongoing financial and operational management of our extensive portfolio of properties.

Progressive Management with its in-house Certified Compliance Professionals and staff has successfully leased over 4,500 units of tax credit and Project based Section 8 housing.
By monitoring and improving operating, environmental and energy efficiencies in our buildings Progressive Management works to continually enhance the value of the portfolio while seeking to improve the quality of life for our residents and adding value to the communities where we are located.

The key to our success is based on our deep Property Management experience and knowledge, which allows us to provide a comprehensive range of services to ensure that we exceed the expectation of our residents’ and buildings under management are excellently maintained.

History

Since 1949, The Arker Companies has built properties as solid as New York's bedrock.  Over three generations, we've crafted a wild portfolio, with projects spanning cutting-edge modern architecture to the meticulous preservation of historic landmarks.

Our journey began with Aron Arker, who established The Arker Companies by building affordable homes in Brooklyn and Staten Island for first-time buyers. As the company grew, Aron was joined by his sons, Sol and Allan, who broadened our mission to create and sustain quality housing throughout all five boroughs.

Sol Arker was later joined by Alex and Daniel Moritz, who carried forward our company's commitment to providing safe, clean, and affordable housing across the NYC Metropolitan area. Although Sol passed away in 2021, his legacy lives on in The Arker Companies' steadfast dedication to improving the lives of New Yorkers, ensuring that families have homes where they can thrive with dignity and pride—a mission that continues to inspire us every day.
